6:30 am / 9:30 am
A copse of magnificent trees on one side and a lake (Google maps calls it Bingipura lake) on the other. We can try for both woodland birds and waterfowl. Rather low counts this year, so do not set your expectations high. However, Hulimangala has often surprised us!
Along Bannerghatta-Anekal road, left turn at Koppa Gate, right turn at the temple with two very big banyan trees, and follow the road until you come to an empty building (built for a temple or dargah) at the entrance to the avenue.
The terrain is level. The walk might be around 3 km or so.
Meeting time: 6.30 am, we start walk down the avenue of the majestic mango and ficus trees, and then cross the road to the lake and walk along the path. We will disperse by 9.30 am.
Wear: Dull-coloured clothing, caps/hats, comfy walking shoes.
Bring: Binocs, cameras, bird books/apps.
Contact: Deepa Mohan, 99800 10366.
Bring plenty of water and snacks if you like to share.
